The notion of Asgardians coming to modern-day Earth was particularly important to me. I actually, coming from the direction of period drama, was the one most resistant to setting it entirely in a historical context.”

-Kenneth Branagh While not directly Thor/Jane its encouraging to note that Branagh saw Thor in the 60’s Journey into Mystery template and little outside it as far as characters and dynamics go. The comics he said he read as a kid. It was also him that was adamant the Viking era didn’t work as was in the previous Vaughn script and that 100% Asgard was wrong. It looks like Jane might have been one of the first things Branagh wanted when he stepped on the project. I hope he’s a hands on producer. (via mybelovedjane) |

Yes. Yes it was.
After being continuously ignored by my family, I found out I was adopted.
Then when I approached my fake father on the situation, he fell asleep.
My idiot brother was banished to Earth only to return back home in time to thwart my plan to prove to our father that I was worthy of his affections. In the end, my father spat in my face and I ended up throwing myself from a bridge into the depths of outer space.
Don’t feel sorry for me though.
Next year will be my year.
Next year, I will rule.
Me and my new hair extensions will show this planet who’s boss.
